Newsletter January 2011 By Joseph Crane

Newsletter Supplement: First Light 2011

We’ve seen many reminisces for the year past (most relieved that 2010 is over) and projections into the year ahead (ranging from hopeful to alarmist), and most of us have that welcome feeling of starting over -- tinged with some regret, some positive anticipation.

The New Year brings two new articles on the Astrology Institute website:

For a review of 2010 NCGR Research Journal, see “Power Lines and Fault Lines in the Astrology World”. http://www.astrologyinstitute.com/Articles/Power-lines-Fault-Lines.pdf

The article on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and the Winter Solstice also appears: see http://www.astrologyinstitute.com/Articles/Sir-Gawain-and-the-Green-Knight.pdf

Astrologically 2011 welcomes two eclipses in January (Solar 1/15 at 25 Capricorn and 1/26 Lunar 05 Cancer).  We also see some interesting planetary developments: over the next few months we’ll see Jupiter and Uranus changing signs as they go into Aries; Neptune finally begins its journey through Pisces.  This year Pluto in Capricorn will continue to transit the early degrees of the cardinal signs; Saturn in Libra will transit the middle degrees of the cardinal signs.

Even if it is not your birthday this winter it’s a good time for new perspectives and projections that an astrology session can bring.

Natal and Predictive Astrology

Astrology gets most quickly and profoundly to the heart of someone’s life conditions and present concerns. People often see an astrologer when their lives aren’t working or when they’re beset with situations they do not understand and needs a larger context.  Joseph uses both modern and traditional astrological techniques and applies them a client’s practical and personal concerns.

Sessions are in person or over the phone.  For new clients: prior to scheduling the session, you would fill out a questionnaire and send it back.  In this way I get some basic information about you and your current questions and concerns.

All sessions are recorded if you wish and I will supply you with a recording to download after the session.  If we meet over the telephone I will send you the charts in advance of our session.

Initial Natal Sessions are 75-90 minutes and are $135.

Update Sessions are held yearly or when the need arises. A year’s first session is $90; subsequent sessions during the year are $60.

Horary astrology provides information based on the exact time or asking a question. Topics include career, relationships, health, and travel. $50

Electional Astrology Helps select the most auspicious day and time for beginning any undertaking, including weddings, job interviews, travel. $60

Personal Consultation/Tutorial Series: Joining Astrology and Life
This consists of five 60-75 minute sessions over two months. They can be in person or over the telephone or Skype.  If we are working at a distance, before each session you will receive charts by email.

Before we begin, we decide on goals. For example:

• You would like an overview of modern or traditional astrology through the lens of your own

natal chart and the events in your own life.

• You have studied astrology and would like to increase your knowledge of technique and

applications.

• You are seeking a fuller astrological perspective from which to gain insight and direction for

your life and your relationships.

Individually these sessions would cost $475; as a series the five sessions are $350, over two payments.
