Hell and Causation in Astrology: In-Person Workshop 9/27

Astrologers and Astrology – Echoes from Dante

September 27, 2015

11 AM – 5 PM
Wayland, Mass.
Conducted by Joseph Crane

Dante AlighieriFor thousands of years some of our culture’s greatest writers and thinkers have explored the role of the astrologer and the nature of astrology, and there is much to be mined from Dante’s Divine Comedy. The poet appeared to dislike astrologers but had a world view that included astrology. Dante’s poem brings up topics that are surprisingly relevant to our understanding of astrologers and astrology today.

What are the possibilities and dangers of our work as astrologers? How does astrology manage time and causation? There’s ordinary time, rhythmic planetary time, and also the a-causal meaningful coincidences we call “synchronicity.” How might we better understand “what is above” and “what is below”?

Cost: $65, $40 if you’ve taken the summer course.
