On two evenings in July and August we began to examine astrology’s foundations by discussing the planets and signs of the zodiac. (The recordings and powerpoints are available to you.  Send me an email to request them.)

On Saturday October 13 we began working with the angles and houses of the natal chart.  In the afternoon we’ll combine planets, signs, and houses together by applying them to important issues in our lives.

On November 10 we’ll review and summarize previous material, focus on including outer planets in our delineation and introduce astrological prediction.

December 8 will work with transits and secondary progressions, two of astrology’s most prominent techniques for looking at time’s trajectory for an individual.  We’ll also introduce solar returns,

Joseph Crane, a counseling astrologer for the past thirty years, has conducted training programs on astrological technique — traditional and modern — as well as counseling skills. He has lectured on  astrological techniques and how astrology connects with works of literature and philosophy down the ages. He is the author of A Practical Guide to Traditional Astrology (1997), Astrological Roots: The Hellenistic Legacy (2007), and Between Fortune and Providence: Astrology and the Universe in Dante’s Divine Comedy (2012). Aside from his ongoing consulting practice, Joseph currently teaches online through Kepler College.  He lives in sometimes-sunny Narragansett, Rhode Island.
